Numbers game. Look at any of the latest stats regarding size of galaxies and knows galaxies. Pretty big honkin' numbers, right? Now, consider for a minute the massive amount of diverse and different life found on earth. Lottsa life here in a pretty small space in a vast, vast universe.

No one is saying that they're more advanced than us or can travel here, or anything of that kind -- heck, we're not even talking sentience here, just alien life! The question is all about existance. So, sure, I can believe there's something else out there. As for not having found proof of it... what the hell have we done lately? (Besides shoot off 50 years or so of radio waves powerful enough to be seen outside the solar system, of course)
