I apologize if the options on the Poll insult you. They are there for comedy purposes and I will change them if you find them offensive.

If your LCD didn't develop bad pixels:
--Tell us which brand it is and how long you've had it for.

If your LCD did develop bad pixels:
--Tell us which brand it is, how long you've had it for, and how many bad pixels and which kind.

If your LCD came with bad pixels:
--Tell us which brand it is.

Samsung SyncMaster 151s. 15" 30ms. Got it EONS ago (maybe 3 years?) for a price that can get me a nice 2005fpw right now. Still running dead pixel free. I know I know its time for an upgrade...

I got a Samsung SyncMaster 151v, dunno specs, probably similar, 15", etc. Got it more than three years ago. Got it at a great price at the time. It came with a funny stuck blue pixel, but it would go normal after being on about 30min. Almost as if it has to heat up before the crystals can orient correctly. It's still going strong and I don't even notice the pixel (mostly cuz I keep it on and the pixel works fine other than the first 30min from a cold start. It might have even improved. I play fps's on it just fine too.

It seemed so nice when I got it...

edit - the one I have came from an immediate RMA as the original monitor had a stuck pink pixel right in the middle of the screen. This one is perfect though, and always has been, for about 3 years now.

i think that ppl just notice the dead pixel that was always there in time.. i dont think they actually develop

either they are in the panel or they arent

if they do develop, its prob not within a short time span

No stuck/dead pixels
Samsung Syncmaster 710T
Bought in July '04

I'll admit that I am a bit paranoid about dead pixels showing up....and I sometimes I think I see one, but it just turns out to be where I sneezed on it or something ('tis the season)

I actaully found one on my 2405 the other day. I didn't notice it because I can only see it if I sit at a weird angle. I actually have to lower my head so its level with the bottem of the LCD and also put my head on the right side of it too. Its on the lower left hand side. It also only appears on a very black back ground. IE my screen saver.

All in all it doesn't really bother me. It took me about a month to notice it and I really can't see it unless I look for it.

What got me thinkin to post this thread was the touch screen in my DS.

There is a bad pixel. Sometimes it's fine and other times it's just red.

Samsung 710T, after 6 months got 1 stuck green pixel.... hardly worth worrying over and only apparent with black or white backgrounds.
