Real depression? No...

Like everyone I go through short periods of feeling like crap and having suicidal thoughts (never serious of course...), but it soon passes....Ibut then I go through these periods where I forget my troubles and think "man, Life is grand" and just smile :)

I wonder if I'll ever suffer from depression though....I am so apathetic, it would take somethign MAJOR to make me feel bad....

So to all of you who are depressed, I'm sorry that you feel the pain, but be comforted in that there is a great purpose behind it.

In that sense I envy those who believe in an almighty God and a greater purpose. I believe in no such thing, and what I see is a world full of suffering for no reason whatsoever. What's the greater purpose behind war, rape, murder, hunger, disease and natural disasters? Humanity is quite f*cked up, and unless you can believe in the dillusion of some good God who keeps all that misery away from your door as long as you follow his guidelines you see the world for what it really is and you hope the suffering won't last too long once it reaches you. WW III won't spare you.
