Poll: Deniro or Pacino?

I have to say Deniro. Pacino is good but I don't think he has the range that deniro has! Both are the best actors of that generation!!!
 
Both are probably guilty of resting on their laurels a bit nowadays but I would have to give the nod to DeNiro, at least looking at the last decade or so. Al Pacino was brilliant earlier in his career, but I think his "acting" has degenerated into schtick, specifically consisting of a lot of gratuitous shouting.
 
Pacino is a real actor, he can do roles outside of the italian mobster/tough guy. I haven't seen anything by DeNiro that would suggest to me that he has anything outside of that.
 
Boberfett, I was going to say the exact opposite of that. Weird. I like Pacino because of his intensity (which could be the "shouting" someone mentioned 🙂), but I think DeNiro has done more roles outside of the mobster catagory...hell, I'm going to see "Meet the Parents" tonight with my gf...🙂
 
I say Al Pacino. "Do you want to play rough with me?"

Argh, now that I typed that, I'm not sure I'm quoting him correctly.
 
De Niro. But I'm biased because I've seen all the good De Niro movies, but not that many Pacino movies. I saw the last half hour of Godfather on TV but that has no impact since I didn't see the whole thing.
 
I watched it about a couple of months ago...anyway, the reason why I did the poll is b/c Headline News ws doing a piece on DeNiro's new movie.
 
They have both made some great flics but lately I just dont care for either. I can understand expanding horizons, having freedom to try new things but give me the older movies.

How can anyone pick but the younger Pachino and DeNero had an edge that seems missing now.

Ill say Pachino under duress.
 
C'mon guys.... this is so easy, it's night and day, black and white. How can a mere mortal (Deniro) even compare to the devil himself?? 🙂
 
Pacino has become a "one trick pony." He's got the glaring/shouting thing dialed in and seems to use it regardless of the character he's portraying. DeNiro, on the other hand has consistently shown a much broader range.

You got that right. And he had that serpant thing going on where he would quickly extend and retract his tongue like a snake...creepy stuff 😉
