I'm white and have no problems with people dating outside of their race and would date outside of my race if I found someone atractive, there are just very few non-caucasians that I find attractive.
 
what about those of us that don't date their own race?

everyone should have the right to date, not date whoever they want for whatever reason.
 
I'm Asian, but for some odd reason, I don't find most Asian girls attractive. I think it's because where I grew up there weren't many Asians.

The first girl I was ever physically attracted to was a cute brunette with long curly hair. She sat near me in math class in middle school and ever since I have been fixated on girls like her 🙁

Edit: Forgot to answer the Q! I've no problem with anyone dating outside their ethnicity.

To be totally honest, I don't have a reason that you guys will think is really worth having the opinion for. I think it just causes problems, and for myself personally, I don't find people of other races to be that attractive, so I somewhat apply that to others and believe there to be another reason why they would wan't to be with someone of a different race.

eg.

You hear about white girls that like black guys. I tend to think that the reason they like black guys is for a couple of reasons.

1. Because of how things were in the past. Being with a black guy is kind of a taboo thing so it excites them.
2. Lots of girls like the stereotype of the black guys big penis

Or

You hear about people liking the white girls. They think they find them the most attractive, but they really think they are the most attractive because of stereotypes of the wild white girl.

I'm not going to say that everyone is like this. I'm sure there are a lot of people who are genuinely attracted to people of other races, but I think a lot of times it is a superficial thing, and I don't think that it is a good thing.
 
Interracial relationships are a-OK in my book, and I have strong feeling that that is the way it should be. Not that anyone should be forced to be with someone they don't want to be with. However, I think that a lot of the aversion to dating outside one's own race has to do with what is learned as a child. If biracial relationships were more commonly seen I bet that would increase the number of people (in succeeding generations) who are open to it personally.

After all it was just a generation ago that had state and federal laws PROHIBITING biracial marriage. What a crock.

Genetic diversity is good... very good. It might be essential to the continued survival of our species.

I'm Caucasian, and I tend to find Caucasian women more attractive, but I have nothing aginst other races, nor do I feel inter-racial relationships are bad. Whatever zips your fly, man! (or unzips, as the case may be)

I have nothing against people who choose to date/marry/whatever inter-racially (I have a white aunt with a Cambodian husband, he's been around since before I was born, I don't even think twice about it), but I happen to like white women.

i agree, if something ever happens to my wife, i will remarry a black dwarf lesbian with a hair lip , just to help out the melting pot effect
 
hey, OP, latino isn't a race!

what you probably mean is mestizo, since latino includes the french, italians, and romanians!
 
Everyone's different and therefore will have different tastes. Some people will prefer to date within their race, others will date people only outside of their race, and still others couldn't care less. As long as there's no harm done, I don't see that it's such a big deal. I think a bigger problem arises between cultural differences and such.

But that's just IMO. 🙂

I would date outside my race because where I go, the certain race has very pretty girls. However, they seem to stick to their own so no love for me. :brokenheart:

In the US they used to be considered separate races from "whites".

Race is cultural.
