rarely. i may like to cruise at 85-90, but when i see curves, i like to accelerate through them upto 100 and maintain that speed until traffic or safety forces me back down to cruising at 85-90. even though i travel the 5 freeway between san diego and irvine during non peak hours, alot of drivers think that going 80 in the fast lane is speeding. most likely they are going 65-70 since their cars can have as high 15% difference between true speed and odometer.

I do on long drives but not on a daily basis because DC area drivers wouldn't know how to do a constant speed if the directions were embossed in gold on their dashboards. They love to dart around you then get in front and slow down. Another favorite move is you have the cruise control set and are coming up on a car. You move left to pass then like magic suddenly they are going the same speed as you.

Required on long trips. Otherwise, don't use it. Wouldn't buy a car w/o it though, at least if I have the option.
