Poll: Cream Cheese or Butter on bagels?

Is there anyone who eats 'em without butter or cream cheese? Anyone who eats 'em without even toasting it? (I may change to poll for this).

I use a toaster oven to toast my bagels...for some reason, the regular toaster that I used to have would make the top of the bagel a tiny little bit browner than the bottom part.

cheese, the same amount of butter would be absurd.

Asuming someone would be so stupid as to put as much on it is pretty silly too. Just cause you put a truckload of ketchup on your hamburger doesn't mean you'll also put half a gallon of Dave's Insanity sauce on it.

no, its just i've found the times i've tried to spread margarine or butter on a bagel the way i'd do with bread, it doesn't work. bagels too dense and requires much more topping else it tastes like plain dry bagel. no i've never slathered on a ton of butter, i just use cream cheese.

No one in their right mind puts ketchup on a burger. That's what the tomato is for.
BTW, Cream Cheese and smoked salmon...... all the way baby!
< smokes his own salmon. Uses BIG papers.....

Cream Cheese on the plain ones, but when I feel like I want a lighter bagel, I'll put butter on it and make sure it's toasted. mmmm

I miss the Einstein Bros Jalepeno Bagels. They ruled. They replaced them with something that's hardly comparable.
