Okay, since all the AMD vs. Intel: Which is best? CPU wars have been fought and everyone died. I'm starting a new one...


Cyrix 6x86MX vs. IDT Winchip: Which sucked more?
 
I've never owned either of the two. I know better than that. I have always sticked with AMD or Intel. I came really close to buying the Cyrix 6x86 CPU after reading all the hype about it in PC Magazine, but decided on a $600 Pentium 166 classic. That was back in the day they were first out too.
 
Biggs: Socket 7 chip that was a drop in 240MHz replacement for a P133.

Note: I didn't pay for any of my cyrix chips. The PR150L+ is the "die hanging on my wall". 6x86MX PR200 was traded for a P150 (I no longer have a MB that does MMX voltages). And the 300M2 was given to my sister.
 
Winchip isn't bad for legacy MBs. and the 6x86 wasn't that bad for it's time either. Back then FPU performance wasn't that much of problem..
