POLL: Country or "Southern Rock"?

I've always loved Skynyrd and pretty much worshipped the Allman Brothers Band, while freely admitting that (nothing against it) I personally can't stand country music. I guess I, without thinking, got around this by considering Skynyrd & Allmans (and others along those lines, ie. Molly Hatchet, etc.) to be "Southern Rock", but it has come to my attention that perhaps others don't make this distinction... So vote, I'm curious.
 
I don't see how anyone could confuse Southern Rock with Country.
They may have evolved from common roots, but they are clearly different now.
I too can't stand country, and love Southern Rock.

My Nephew calls my Tom Petty collection "Country", GASP!

Skynard is really good and I know I've heard and liked the Allman Brothers, but for the life of me I can't recall any Allman Bro songs.

Little Feat stomps em both, but they were both tremendously more talented than 99% of what's on the radio these days.

For an Englishman doing a great job at Southern Rock, get Robert Palmer's Sneaking Sally Through the Alley. Different from (and better than) his Power Station / "Addicted to Love" days.
