OWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!! i guess i'm officially stupid, i just got my finger ripped to shreds by the 6000 rpm 60mm fan on my cpu. (earlier this week i got part of muy fingernail ripped off by it, that wasnt as painful, but i should have learned.) and before that, i cut my nose on a comp i was building for my dad. if this doesn't prove that i am stupid, nothing will. i kinda want to see what other computer injuries you guys have recieved.

does severe inflammation of the wrists count? I get paper cuts from my printer on occassion. I also use fan guards...they usually keep me safe.

Does falling asleep and falling out of your chair hitting your head count? Not that I ever did that, I was just curious.

I've cut myself a couple of times on cases. And usually on pieces of metal that look totally harmless.

i cut myself up all the time working on them. grab a motherboard wrong, and those pins in the back will go right through your cuticle. Ouch!

I sliced my finger on my Dell's weird power supply cage. Very sharp piece of metal if you grip it wrong :frown: That thing took a couple weeks to heal! I've also bumped my head a couple hundred times when working below my desk:confused:

I guess the part that has "NOT A HANDLE" etched into the power cage didn't deter you huh?

was pushing the panel out of the case to install a cdrom drive... it wasnt coming out so i pushed harder and then all the sudden it flew out and my index finger went forward real quick, the middle of it ran into the metal seperator that seperates the drive bays and i got a pretty deep cut

Well lets see.

Lots of scraped knuckles. I was taking out a PCI card, tearing out the onboard bios chip (on the board...it was a NIC), and then reinserting it. Lather, Rince, repeat about 150 times :(

Uh....I have done something realy stupid too.

But I'm not going to go into that here....

Ok, you talked me into it. I was replacing some computer parts, thought I had the line protector off...Well when I grabbed the power switch to take off the feeds...ZAP! Wall current through my hand. Pow...that knocked me back.

BTW: It was an old AT standard computer, thats why it had 120v through the power switch.

Just the normal cuts and scrapes from cheap cases.. and tendonitis in my right wrist from using the mouse.. does that count?
