Multi-colored lights are best.

Anyone else over 30 annoyed that light manufacturers have added pink to the minilight strings? (they started this about 10-15 years ago)

It used to be only red, blue, yellow and green. Now they have both red AND pink. I understand they do this to make the lights seem brighter, but it makes my tree look pink and it sucks.

I don't think there are any pink ones on the strings I have. I do recall there used to be salmon colored ones on some of the C7 strings we had.

Look closer. Follow the pattern. If it is something like red-yellow-blue-green and back to red again, that you have some of the few new ones that have no pink.

But most go something like red-pink-yellow-blue-green. The pink may look just like a slightly more pale red, but it is pink.

I'm pretty sure the miniature strings we got from Target a few years back only have 4 colors. I'll have to check when I get home.

we always put both white (for the brightness) and colored (because they're festive) on our tree. :) just white in the garlands out front, just colored on the deck out back and both on the tree.
