The wife just made some last night, and a few turned out crispy on the bottom. So I grabbed them and began the devouring process, as she yelled at me for eating "gross burnt cookies". I told her I loved it when cookies turn out a little burnt on the bottoms, so she made me a cookie (about 2 times the size of a softball) and made sure it was burnt on the bottom. Now THAT'S love. :D

Exactly.

Sometimes I like them well done, slightly crispy around the edges.

Other times I like them fresh, warm and a little gooey.

A trick for those of you who like to make your own from scratch.

The sugar used.
When adding your sugar take away a 1/4 cup of white sugar and add a 1/4 cup of brown sugar.

So if the recipe calls for 3/4 cup of white sugar and 1/2 cup of brown sugar. Make it 1/2 cup of white and 3/4 cup of brown and you will find your cookies to be soft and not hard.
