After they got rid of that crap plastic cladding I now think they do look pretty good.

we currently own an avalanche, body paneled version. i will say, the folding midgate is nice. im not sure if the f-150 has a full size bed, or the titan, but when you need to put an 8' piece of plywood in it, you can. got kids? lol great way to drive long times, fold the midgate down, have them lay in ther and sleep (we do it, im a kid) its comfy and waterproof.

want a window open, but not the front, and dont like the noise? pop out the rear window, store it away, and you get hardly any road noise, a little breeze, not much, but some fresh air.

it is really a nice truck. no problems thus far and 70K miles on an 03'

I bet you wouldn't. Atleast, if you did, you'd be an idiot. :D

What can a "real truck" do that it can't?

Not look like a fugly clone between a useless SUV and a truck.

A "clone?" Clone of what? How is it useless?

don't argue with him. it's pointless.

btw, i've liked these vehicles since they first came out, the only thing for me is i drive too much to have a gas guzzler like that.

Get the WBH package. It makes it look a LOT better. It basically takes all the plastic off of the side.

If I ever get a truck it's going to be about a '75 Ford or Chevy full-size pickup. Spend about $2000 on it...tops. ;)

See my comments in this thread.

Cliffs Notes: Yay!!

edit: from that thread:

I have first hand experience with Avalanche for over 2 years:

1. Absolutely NO problem whatsoever.
2. 16 mpg mixed driving
3. Excellent people carrying capacity - up to 6 if you get front split bench
4. Excellent cargo hauling capacity
5. Excellent towing capacity - 19' ski boat for 2 summers
6. Since not many people appreciate it's appearance, plenty of good deals.
7. Ride is comparable to sedans, not bouncy like pickups. I test drove a Silverado HD and Avalanche back-to-back. Avalanche is noticeably better.

If I had to buy another vehicle today, I'd still buy another Avalanche.

Is there ever a point in arguing over a matter of styling? What one person likes another may not. I see no problem there.

Nice trucks, I have rode in one several times. The 5.3L is great on power.
