Mallone got to hang with Cliff and Normie, and Kirstie Alley back when she was hot

Kandi >>> Kirstie, even if Alan did take her as sloppy seconds.

Also, Charlie married a HOT ballerina. A ballerina man, think about it!

Yeah but his "life" (aka the show) is so trite, unfunny, boring, and stupid that he probably won't actually enjoy it no matter whom he married. It would be like marrying a beautiful woman then being forced to live in a non-stop polka fest.

im guessing most of the people on this board dont know who Sam Mallone is...

I know Mayday Malone. Sam Malone was the ultimate player. Every woman wanted him, and every man wanted to be him. He lived a normal mans life, Charlie has everything set up for him and as typical with TV noadays everyone on TV is rich or at least well to do, even if they don't have a job or work a lemonade stand.

Charlie Harper by a mile. Sam worked too hard, Charlie had money without even trying.

Beach house in Malibu is miles ahead of working nights in Boston.

Sam Mallone loved his job and still had a lot of money. If you follow 3 and a half men, there are hints everywhere that Charlie Harper lived paycheck to paycheck or on gambling winnings.

What 3 and a Half Men are you watching? The one episode where he almost ran out of money he fell into the gig of doing kids songs and immediately signed a contract where he was rolling in it again. Charlie lost a fortune gambling, lost a fortune on girls, lost a fortune on booze and still had a fortune. Sam on the other hand was broke a lot and during some of the series didn't even own the bar. He was forced to work there just to scrape by. Charlie has a beach house in Malibu worth millions and during the course of the series has owned several Mercedes including an AMG and also a Ferrari 360 Spyder. Their financial status isn't even close.

Yeah but class is just as important as being rich. In the Class category, Charlie Harper doesn't have a chance.

ROFLMAO. Interesting how your definition of what's important changes every time somebody points out your erroneous beliefs about the facts of the characters lives. When somebody cites Sams many breeches of class while also noticing that Charlie generously supports his brother and nephew what will your story change to? Will shoe size suddenly become important? You lost, grow up and get over it.

lol, I still prefer Sam. 🙂

While the show may not be as good as Cheers (I still think it's funny, but to each his own), I think I'd be more inclined to party with a guy like Charlie than Sam.

I would think that Charlie's gotten more ass than Sam, and it's all smokin hot. Now for the most part these girls couldn't calculate the tip on the cheque they're not picking up, and Sam seemed to land the more classy ladies (as far as I can recall, I haven't seen a Cheers re-run on tv in years), so I guess it depends on your definition of 'quality' as to whether or not this is a debate between quantity and quality.

Thats only because Charlie was too irresponsible to save or deal with his money properly.

Malibu beach house >>>>>>>>>>>>>> some dingy bar in Boston filled with lowlifes

I'm sorry, but I would have to disagree. I'm more the dingy bar, especially if it was in Boston/NE, than the Malibu beach house type. People seem to fake in that area.

McGuyver! He didnt need to atrck women, he could make them out of a banana peel, paper clip and a door knob.

Becker!

lol, I never seen an episode of Becker. I think Butters from South Park was quite fond of him though...and I trust Butters judgement.

Sam Mallone all the way. Sam had that one chick he bang once year for like 15+ years and she was hot too.

OK, let me amend to say that if we took either of them out of their fictional environment and placed them in the real world, I'd rather hang out with Charlie. But if we must take into account their fictional environment, it's Sam all the way.

Sam had a good run in Cheers but I think I'd have to vote for Charlie. I do admit that 2 - 1/2 men is getting a little old now.

Sam Malone because Cheers was decent and Charlie's show is donkey bile.

is this because Sam was a man you wished you could grow up and be and Charlie is the man you know know you can never become?

I'll take that one step further. I'd rather crash on Charlie's couch ALA Alan (minus the divorce, I don't want to BE Alan) in his fictional world, than be a barfly hanging out with Sam in the Cheers environment. I think I'd also rather go trolling for chicks with Charlie, as he has a knack for finding multiple women and if Alan is any indication, he's willing to share!

To put it a final way, let's say both fictional environs were real, and they were both your uncles. I think I'd be taking more trips to Malibu to hang out with Uncle Charlie than heading up to Boston to chill with Uncle Sam!

Becker is pretty funny. I liked it.

House stole from Becker.
