If you had all three of these payment options, and you were in line at the supermarket, what would you use?

I also hate check writers they take so damned long. It's all about the DEBIT card, comes straight out of your checking or savings account and you can also get cash back (without paying ATM fees). I always use my debit card at Albertson's, Wal-Mart, Fantasy Adult Video, etc.

I use credit card portion of my visa check card.

1. It takes days to post, thus increasing my interest on checking balance.
2. Swipe , sign thats it.

I do use debit when i need cash-back, but thats rare.

Same for gas pump.

Checks should be banned.

 
Cash! It makes you stick to spending only what you have. Credit is okay for emergeny times. I am getting sick of checks. They annoy me!
 
cash is prefferable, i use my debit card as a backup. the only time i use checks is when buying something on BBSs and the person doesnt like paypal

I dont like being in debt, so I don't usually use my credit card... and by using debit card more often I can go to the bank less for cash 🙂
 
I charge everything! It's like getting an interest free loan as long as you have the money to pay the balance in full every month. Plus, unless I buy enough groceries for an entire county, I'll never end up being short.
 
I never carry cash. I always use credit. I hate checks. The only reason I use checks is to pay bills that I can't just pay online.

I think I will get a debt card soon, though, as writing checks are a pain in the @ss..... Checks are still hand for paying the CC company and other stuff.....
 
Its really easier to charge everything and just pay one bill online at the end of the month. It takes self-discipline to not run up debt. I have like 10 transactions a month, one check (rent) written. Everything else paid online.

Works great.

I also like this feature, it also breaks down and shows you that you visited the xxx store 80 times during the past 2 weeks and need to cut down. Plus if I charge, everything on my CitiBank Dividends card earns me 1% back in rebates.
