POLL: Car MP3 Players

I knew that I forgot about that 8017 by KENWOOD (this one is quite popular)..... there are quite many of them and to list them all is quite a task.

PS: That is why in the OTHER selection I wrote 'sorry' 😀

There, everyone should be happy now. I'm not gonna add more cuz it is going to create mayhem......whatever else you have that is not in the selection, click on OTHER. I have tried to pick the most popular and most known players/brands.

what is the average price for these? i was thinking about getting just a CD player in dash...but i'm also thinking of a MP3 player....any ideas?

Toxicrage: what did you pay?

My was $299 Canadian but if you want in US$ go to
This Link they got the best prices (that I could find) on all sort of stuff, including car MP3 players and radar detectors. Their costumer service and delays in shipping are a major drawback to them, but I think it is still worth it.

If I would be you, I would go with the MP3 players. Think about it, you don't want to pay (let's assume) $150US for just a CD player if for $200US you could have a CD player AND a MP3 player in one. I was kindda hesitating in peeling off my money too and I wanted to go with a nice CD deck, but I figured that it is worth investing more and not spend the extra money on a later upgrade (let's say an MP3 player). That way you pay only once, not 2 times. Besides digging in my trunk to change CDs is not me - to lazy for that - and changing a in dash CD every 1.5h sux too. This way I have about 120 (128bit) songs on just 1 CD - that is like 9h of music.

<< It isn't much more to get one that will play both. >>

yeah that is what i will probably do. Thanks guys! 😉

Hey pyonir (this is off topic) but I think 'alot' is a word.

'A lot' describes a piece of land.
eg: I bought my house with a lot.

'alot' describes things in plural (substitution for 'many').
eg: I bought alot of houses.

HAHA 😉

Toant, you should try to get some money together and (if you are looking to upgrade your car deck) invest into this toy. It is quite expensive, but 50 bucks more over a regular CD player is more than enough of an excuse to get a MP3 deck. I have not had the chance to go for a long ride and enjoy non-stop, no commercials, no BS music that I don't like - but soon I will be albe to and it will be beautiful 😀

There are more than enough models to make everyone happy - and the price on the is right too.

Someone's supposed to be making a car MP3 player where the player portion ejects like a cassette and you can carry it around with you. Anyone hear of this?

You mean the whole deck 'pops-out' from the mounting bracket? What do you mean by 'player'? That would be kindda inconvenient to carry aroung the whole friking deck 😀

ToXiCRaGE - Thanks for the nice poll, I like how you listed a sh*tload of choices complete with manufacturer and model numbers.
