[poll] Canon A95 vs Sony DSC-P93

Brother's gf said 2 weeks ago that he wants a camera for Christmas so I got him the Canon. She said today that he wants the Sony. Which is better for a camera n00b?

A95. It has enough automatic controls to make a noob feel good about his shots. It also has enough manual controls to ease him into the craft after he gets more comfortable.

Of those two, I'd also choose the a95. Only factor might be the shape of the camera.

I've always liked canon cameras. In fact I just recommended by brother-in-law to buy the a95 for his wife for X-mas

Sony is an easier camera, but Canon takes better pics.

He ditched it for his Sony F717.
