You wanna improve your vertical? Run lines by hopping on one foot, not letting your heal touch the ground at any time. If it touches, start your line set over again. That will add some serious inches to your vertical when you're able to walk again after your sets. They hurt A LOT, at first, but you'll get used to it, and you'll improve your vert by INCHES (and lots of them) only after a short while.
The basketball coach in HS knew a lot of little tricks 🙂
