This thread deserves it...
Anyone still have the video of that girl "riding" the stick shift?

EDIT: FOUND IT... NSFW

Lol, one time I injured my right arm/wrist and I had to use my left hand to shift whenever I drove around, that was a pain. One of my friends broke their right leg, and had to drive with his left, but at least that was an auto car. But imagine driving with your left leg only, even in an auto, omfg.

Yep, learned to drive on a 1991 BMW M3 (1996-1997).
Drove a 5-speed 1992 Mazda Miata (2000-present, but no longer daily driver)
2005 Mazda 3S 5-speed (current daily driver)

Out of four cars, three have been stick. Got my first one at 17, currently driving an old Toyota truck, no power steering or anything like that, thing is a friggen beast and a half to drive, but I wouldn't give it up for anything. Maybe I'd put it in the garage a few more days a week, but not give it up.

Yes, most of my cars have been sticks. I learned on my first car, a 1988 VW Jetta...

I have a 5 speed Neon that I use every day. Two of the last three cars I have owned have been stick shift. When you need acceleration their is nothing to compare it to!

Mine was an old 1947 International Harvester Pickup out in the tobacco and corn fields in southern Wisconsin.

I'd love to have that old truck to restore right about now.

to say that auto was invented for women is a joke...my wife would drive circles around you. She has driven semi trucks since she was about 5...course her dad would just put it in second and jump out, then beat her home to get it stopped. Find a farmgirl, they know how to drive well.

And just because you can drive a rice burning stick doesn't mean you can drive an auto. Get a big truck that you have to powershift and/or doubleclutch, with high and low axle. Took me a while to get used to that one...
