I know almost nothing about Kerry. I do know he's very liberal, and I would consider myself basically dead on middle of the road (ie, I can bitch at both sides). However, I do know a few things about Bush which give me pause:
1) Would support ammending the constitution to illegalize gay marriages. To me this means he's either belittle the importance of your constitution, or he's making a mountain out of a mole hill with the gay thing (or both).
2) Biggest percentage deficit in decades. This guy loves to spend. On the one hand he complains about people like Kerry taxing, but on the other he jacks up the deficit, because he knows the average person is too down right stupid to care about anything beyond the next year or so.
3) Some level of proven incompetence. I thought it was a swell idea to oust Saddamn, and I still do, but the guy at the head of hte most powerful intelligence body in the world based, in great part, a war on frankly wrong information. We were all fooled I agree. I thought we'd see some WMD by now, but then I'm not party to the secret info. The war was decently justified just to can Saddamn, but WMD was something always heard about, and it just hasn't come to be. Isn't that a bit bad starting a full scale war when one of your primary motivators is in fact totally garbage?
One problem I can think of with Kerry:
1) Wants to open the petroleum straegic reserve to save on gas prices. This is just a straight up asinine idea, any way you look at it. They're there not to save me a nickel at the pump, but allow the country to operate in times of crisis.
PS - I'm not a citizen so I can't vote anyway.
