I know almost nothing about Kerry. I do know he's very liberal, and I would consider myself basically dead on middle of the road (ie, I can bitch at both sides). However, I do know a few things about Bush which give me pause:

1) Would support ammending the constitution to illegalize gay marriages. To me this means he's either belittle the importance of your constitution, or he's making a mountain out of a mole hill with the gay thing (or both).
2) Biggest percentage deficit in decades. This guy loves to spend. On the one hand he complains about people like Kerry taxing, but on the other he jacks up the deficit, because he knows the average person is too down right stupid to care about anything beyond the next year or so.
3) Some level of proven incompetence. I thought it was a swell idea to oust Saddamn, and I still do, but the guy at the head of hte most powerful intelligence body in the world based, in great part, a war on frankly wrong information. We were all fooled I agree. I thought we'd see some WMD by now, but then I'm not party to the secret info. The war was decently justified just to can Saddamn, but WMD was something always heard about, and it just hasn't come to be. Isn't that a bit bad starting a full scale war when one of your primary motivators is in fact totally garbage?

One problem I can think of with Kerry:
1) Wants to open the petroleum straegic reserve to save on gas prices. This is just a straight up asinine idea, any way you look at it. They're there not to save me a nickel at the pump, but allow the country to operate in times of crisis.

PS - I'm not a citizen so I can't vote anyway.

I'm not going to vote for Kerry

But, I don't know if I can bring myself to vote for Bush

So, it might be Ralph if he runs again.

Come on, more people have voted for Bush and have not fessed up. Let us know. I am going to write your names down, so when he is re-elected, I can personally blame you for a worse economy, higher unemployment rate, and more dead soldiers.

Kerry is too liberal for me and the Libertarian party candidate (their convention begins May 27) will not be electable. If Bush already has my state essentially sewn up by the time I hit the polling booth, I'll vote Libertarian.

I voted for Bush. People who voted for Kerry please tell me your names so that if he is elected I can personally blame you for a lame duck president who buries his head in the sand on all the tough issues and refuses to take any sort of stand (other than the defense stand in court to testify about lying) on any issues. All the while raises taxes to pour money into some government subsidized programs for that nobody really needs or cares about.

I always get a kick out of thise one. Democrats are all up in arms about the fact that Bush got bad intel. It is, however, OK that Clinton committed pergury. I don't see how this double standard is acceptable to anybody. Would Bush going to war with Iraq have been better if the reason had been to oust Saddam?

Well, I make less than $25k/year and I'm definately grateful for the tax cuts and the additional deductions I could take....I guess at $25k I'm rich?

You'd rather vote for someone who blatently lies to you about his reasons for going to war? I'd rather have a 'lame duck' president than to see millions of dollars wasted on a war of fiction anyday.

I didn't put down Kerry, but i'll take a lame duck over a failure any day.

The fact that we are still there and still wasting lives is what angers me most.

Because Clinton committed perjury 600 soldiers and many more civilians ended up dead.

Also, where did Xiety say it was OK that Clinton committed perjury?
