Who the hell voted for The Patriot?

Yeah...why is it not 39-0?

The thought of actually sitting down to watch either of those movies makes me cringe.

we already read your first post genius

Patriot is a POS - incredibly innacurate. Sure, one man takes out 20 British with a tomahawk and his 2 sons popping off a few shots from distance with muskets....

Sorry, but when doing a historical piece like that, I prefer some semblance of realism, especially given Mel's past movie of Braveheart, which doesn't have too many in your face glaring issues.

well i hate to burst your bubble, but braveheart is probably even more innaccurate than the patriot. the battle of stirling was not fought on that huge open plain. the real name of the battle is the "battle of stirling bridge" which implies there was a bridge they fought over. now correct me if im wrong, but i didnt see a bridge.

Both movies butcher history, but at least Braveheart tells (for the most part) a true story. The Patriot is just yet another Mel Gibson anti-English war movie.

Are you kidding me? You're going to fault it for that? You can fault it for the million other historical inaccuracies, but that one was just done for dramatic effect. How about the fact that the princess in the story was only three years old at that time? That's a bit more glaring.

Regardless, I don't think it matters. Braveheart is clearly the better movie. It was an amazing movie by all rights.

Braveheart, cmon that isn't even a question :p

It's like Coke vs. Generic Supermarket Cola, Coke is the original and the best between the two - always without question :D
