Poll: BlockBuster or Netflix

As you all have read blockbuster dropped its late fee's and now has dropped the price to compete with Netflix 17.99 pricing.

What will you all do now, who to pick.

I personally have had netflix for about 2 years until i cancelled about 2 months ago since i havent had time to watch movies lately, but i don't know what to do now.

The late fee's being dropped do not matter if your going with either online option. If you were happy with Netflix before, go back, if not try out Blockbuster. There should be a free trail.

I'm a netflix guy and will stay with them.

i guess the late fee's matter a little bit with blockbuster because you get 2 store free rentals, if you return it late you could get the late fee.

question for those that have blockbuster, how soon do you get a new movie when you return one, i can get a new one in 2 days with netflix.

I have Blockbuster. I usually get discs a day earlier than expected and usually ship them off the next day. 3 days I get new ones. So far, happy.

I've had the same experience. Maybe its the holidays? If its still the same in january, I might drop it.
I tried Blockbuster, but their distribution center was too far away, By the time the dvds got to me, I had completely forgot about them.

Netflix has been a steady 2.x days for me for a couple of years now.

I do suspect they slow service down for people who rent a lot of movies and "burn and return," which I don't do.

I'd stick with Netflix even if Blockbuster offered the same speed, since Netflix has a better selection and I just don't like Blockbuster.

Netflix now has a distribution center in my town so I get next day turnaround 95% of the time which is hard to beat.

i havent tried either, probably will eventually and i will just stick with whichever one has the fastest turnaround time (though netflix's selection is persuasive as well)

I have Netflix and wouldn't change to Blockbuster. Blockbuster is too expensive and they barely have any DVDs. You have to go running around tring to find the DVD you want.

Netflix blows when you get tagged as a frequent user. :/

Why's that?

As for Blockbuster or Netflix, I'm with Netflix at the moment and had cancelled my BB "Freedom Pass" (Freedom my ass). There's a NF distribution center like an hour away, so turn around time is stellar. I've yet to hear where the BB vids would be coming from, could be the deal breaker. BB having 2 in-store rentals a month included in the $17.99/mo will clinch a lot of business. I know it has me thinking.

But this is the online option, where you pick the DVD's online and they ship them to you. That, and both Blockbuster and Netflix are at around $18/mo for the online service right now, one difference being you can also rent 2 dvd's from their store a month in addition to the 3 you can have out at a time.

Oh, I forgot about the online deal. I'm sticking with netflix though. I usually get the DVDs the day after they ship them. It'd probably take longer to get the ones from Blockbuster.

Have you used blockbuster online? It sucks ass..you have to wait 3-4 days for the DVDs to come, and chances are, when it's a popular DVD, it's not available, and you'd have to wait weeks for it to get back in stock. Netflix takes 1-2 days (usually one day for me), and the DVDs I want are usually in stock.

The first one to drop all the holier-than-thou pretense and offer me a first rate selection of pr0n get's my business.
