I'm listening to De la Soul - Buhloone Mindstate rite now...brings me back to several years back...heh..still the illest stuff.. 🙂 (wow it's 11 years old!)
 
Notorious BIG hands down.

I can't believe Tupac got votes. He couldn't rap. Sure he was all socially aware in his music but that doesn't negate the fact that he couldn't rap. Listen to 80% of his songs; most tracks don't even rhyme and it is forced out.
 
ive been listening to the 'stakes is high (remix)' with mos def and de la soul all day today. damn song is stuck in my head. that and tribe's 'can i kick it'.
