This is a great question/poll!

Too bad it is ~15 years too late...

Considering how badly today's music sucks, I don't blame anyone for musically living in the past.

....dance with me....lets pretend....living a satellite fantasy, waiting for the night to end...DJ CULTURE!

lol Pet Shop Boys suck.

I own all their albums from 1986-1995. Bilingual was their downward march IMO. You probably just heard a song that didnt tickle your fancy.

Pet Shop Boys....feel the liberation!

Edit: I also met them and shook their hands in 1988! Soon after "Were Shameless" was released describing tacky fans. 🙂

But for all of those who don?t fit in
Who follow their instincts & are told they sin
This is a prayer for a different way..
I?m always waiting for a red letter day

West End Girls FTW, though I like a lot of their songs. My singles collection CD is scratched though. :| Only the second CD I owned that skips out of a few hundred. The other one is a Dead Milkmen disc - go figure. 😱

I hear they are the official band for homosexuals.. (no offense meant)

Liberation is a good song though, but upon further analysis of the lyrics, one could come to the conclusion that it is talking about gay love and how this love is a liberation from the social constraint that society places on homosexuality.

They are a major gay influence, but they have repeatedly said that the majority of their songs are not "gay" oriented, it's just that many of then can and often are interpreted that way, which is ok with me (as a straight person).

In my opinion, I think it's wise of them not to make "gay only" songs in the same way someone might make a "straight only" song. Love is love, right? I'm straight, but whether you're into guys or gals, it's the same concept, same general "emotional connection."
