POLL: Best IT/Hardware COMPANY name, Anandtech may decide the fate!

come up with some ideas then guys, you'd be suprised how hard it is to be original these days.

Something generic like FastPCs just doesn't work

Come up with ideas for the name of your company for free?

Its a public opinion poll, problem?

If it's only a poll then quit asking people to come up with ideas. Most will gladly vote but not do the work for you.

Slsmnaz - Syndicate was initially responding to your first statement, making the point that none of his options are ideal because it is very difficult to derive a catchy, sensible name that hasn't already been claimed - particularly as far as the internet is concerned.

As this is the case, there's no need to become petulant and huffy over Synd's response to your unnecessary challenge of "Come up with ideas for the name of your company for free?"

Cheers!

I just had to come up with a name for my technology consulting company. It was pretty tough.

The first thing to look at is the availability of the URL. I based my decision mostly on whether I could have the domain I wanted to go with the name.

hmm donno. The three largest IT companies I know of are Accenture, Getronics, and IBM. All three offer services to small companies to large global companies, and are very successful. since their names are bland, just go w/ a mundane name, hehe. Although I knew Getronics used to be called Wang Systems (or was it Tech? forgot). Wait, no, Wang was bought out by Getronics. ya.
