#1. Baldur's Gate 2: Throne Of Bhaal
#2. Black & White
#3. Max Payne
#4. NHL 2002
Any other year Black & White would be the run away winner... but BG2 TOB is just incredibly difficult/near impossible to surpass.. practically a flawless game that surpassed all imaginable expectations IMHO.
B&W is a very fun and innovative game and is solidly is second.
Max Payne was a great game, and has some innovative elements but overall it can't compare to the totally new style of B&W and Payne was also too short.
NHL2002 is a great game IMHO... but certainly not terribly far advanced upon 2001 and not deserving of an award.
None of the other games mentioned appealed to me much.
Arr, I hate votes like this. I just love all those games, can't say which I love most. BTW, it's Red Faction, not Fraction (4th time I saw someone misspell it today, lol).
Best single player game this year is Max Payne, hands down. Black and White is a close second. As far as multiplayer goes, Tribes2 all the way. I'd like to see some more multiplayer games with pilotable vehicles that actually make a difference in the game.
Of the three I mentioned, I've played Tribes2 the most so far. Its definatly GOTY (so far) in my book.
