I've said it before and I'll say it again... Best File Sharing Program Ever.
 
See, I have Kazaa, or "Kazaa Media Desktop" as I guess they call it, and I can never find ANYTHING on it. (See my thread about not being able to find the Cee-lo video).
 
WinMX 3.0 should blow everything out of the water when it's finalized and released. We all know the kazaa network can be taken down if the right kind of legistlation hits home there. WinMX is truly decentralized.

Other plusses:

- Great interface
- No freakin' spyware
- Multi-sourced downloads! This is going to own all when a good amount of people get online - downloading one MP3 from 10 people at once should greatly speed up things.
- Will eventually allow private networks a la TrippyMX to be truly unstoppable.

They will come. Oh yes, they will come.

OK, am I doing something wrong with Kazaa then? (And what's Kazaa-Lite?). Cause there are many things that I can find on WinMX that I can't on there, but everyone seems to be leaning heavily toward Kazaa.

Test, can anyone find the VIDEO for Cee-lo: 'Closet Freak' on Kazaa? (Yes, I'm still trying to find that damn thing).

DC for movies and apps (to which I've lost the CD)
Kazaa for mp3s and other small files.
 
i used to use Morpheus becuase it worked great, it filtered out fake porno files when you search for "jefferson airplain" and it didn't have spyware. now Morpheus sucks and i'm forced to use Kazaa, the problem is that Kazaa has spyware in it from cydor, see:

if you uninstall those cydor component, Kazaa will stop working and you will have to reinstall it. the green stuff is to block out my login name

just like the above post said.. KAZAA Lite is by far the best file-sharing app! audiogalaxy is crap.. and i'll try that winMX stuff when it comes out... but i wouldn't get my hopes up..
 
winMX is not good becuase it doesn't filter out fake files. have you ever downloaded a file like a song or video that opens an internet explorer window and goes to a site? i was playing a jenifer lopez song once and it suddenly opened an internet explorer window and went to a site saying buy CDs of this song. Kazaa and Morpheus filtered those things out but the other programs don't.
 
Kazaa kinda blows in my opinion, but it is the best FILE sharing program, in the sense of every single type of FILE. Straight mp3's, audiogalaxy blows kazaa away. Theres stuff I can't dream of finding on kazaa that I find on audiogalaxy regularly. And every download with 5 greens on audiogalaxy works and works fast. On kazaa...half the crap doesn't work. Even if I did want files, I probably wouldn't want to go to kazaa to find them...if I wanted full length movies I'd go on IRC to find them...because its way faster and easier to find what you want. Things like photoshop or antivirus 2002 are good to find on kazaa though. I guess if you want short porn clips kazaa works. Audiogalaxy all hte way for mp3s though...
 
with dc i can never get any decent speeds. i dont think ive ever been at more than 20k/s for more than 5 mins. at least with kazaa once ever 80 hours you can get like 100 when there are like 5 people youre getting it from. anyone know any good hubs for dc ?
