A light color is best. It contrasts nicely with my dark as night eyes. You need to shine a direct beam of light into them to see the actual color.

I love girls with dark hair and light colored eyes, especially green. A girl with black or dark brown hair and green or blue eyes, she's for me. It's a combination not found that often, but every time I've met a girl with that combination it's been worth it.
