Seinfeld, without a shadow of a doubt. Seinfeld is the king of sitcom and propably will always be. So far, nothing has come even close to being as good.

Seinfeld was very funny and a great show, but there are several shows on my list that are better.
 
Seinfeld is one of the best because of the complexity of each episode.... It's got something going on for each of the characters that ties together in the end...very good writing. The rest of the sitcoms are out of their element. Much changed in what America expected as time progressed so this comparison is almost unfair due to the various time periods and what people found funny/what was actually acceptable to be on T.V.
 
Out of the ones listed - Friends.

In the UK we have an hour long sitcom called Cold Feet - which is best IMO.

Seinfeld is still funny as hell... I actually seek out that show to watch every day, whereas with most other sitcoms I'll just watch it if I'm flipping by it. Scrubs is another funny sitcom that I actually sit down every week to watch.

Same here, I watch Seinfeld pretty much every single day and it always makes me laugh 🙂 Friends I tend to watch regulary and other's only if I happen to flip by them..
 
The early episodes of MASH were awesome.

Newhart was also one of my favorites of all time.

I was never a fan of Seinfeld... my parents and a couple of the guys in the dorm were Seinfeld fans, but it seemed they had more fun making fun of it rather than actually laughing at the intended humor. I could never get into it because I would sit there watching, fully knowing that I could be having funnier conversations with my friends rather than watching other 'normal' people talk to each other. Obviously, I'm in the minority.

I would've voted for Married With Children, just because I enjoyed the whole sexual rivalry aspect of the show. Al Bundy is my all-time favorite TV character.

Cheers gets my vote even though it was my #2.
