Poll: BBQ Grill

Charcoal all the way. Hardwood charcoal (aka lump charcoal) is even better than briquettes.

But, i have yet to buy a Weber Summit series gas grill. They are most excellent at heat distribution and quality overall.

Charcoal is way better, however, gas is always ready. So for every day, gas. For preformance grilling , charcoal, especially hardwood, is the way to go,

i use it all the time. even when its only for say, one hamburger or one steak. I have not used a gas grill in the past 2 years. *pats weber smokey jr on the back*

I charcoal grill all winter long. You just have to shovel the Webber out of the snow.

It's not like you have to stand there and watch the coals turn white.

OP said it. Adding, use the stainless gas for the quick dinner and the hardwood smoker when it needs to be right. Yummmm.... You know, I think it is smoker time this weekend!

Gas is so much more convenient. No fuss, no muss. Easy start, easy cleanup.

You gotta wait for charcoal to get hot, then you gotta wait for the ashes to cool, and then you gotta clean 'em up.

cooking for myself or just for a few people, gas all the way

cooking for a party, can't beat charcoal.

i picked up one of the cheap ass webers from home depot for 80 bucks when i moved into my new townhosue -- best investment i've made, it gets used all the time and works great even for a crappy weber.

Gas + smoker box for the win. The convenience of gas, the taste of charcoal.

I got the Brinkmann 2250 from Target for $180. It seemed like a good deal and it works decently for the price.

Charcoal 100% of the time. Just cooking hamburgers for wifey and I or having 20+ people over. Remember kids, gas tastes like A$$!

I like the one we got my dad for his birthday. It's both. You can either use gas, or use the gas to start the charcoal. Makes using charcoal quick and easy.

charcoal only. so much better. plus, adding a few extra "flavored" woodchips makes it great!!

I like gas grills just because they are so quick and easy. No getting messy with charcoal, no ashes to clean out, no long wait times while the charcoal heats up, etc. Just turn it on, light it up, give it a few minutes to wam up, and away you go.

I do use charcoal when tailgating and things like that though.
