Who here remembers the good old days of BRE?

I was talking to a friend tonight and the memories started to come back
ahh... the sweet sounds of a modem handshaking with a BBS
sending troops to take over meek little countries

Does anyone happen to know of any BRE leagues that are still running? Dial-up is good I guess. But I'd preffer telnet or something over IP. I'd love to play again.

Oh man, vintage, vintage. I liked BRE, but I was in to StarTrader 2000(?), hell it's been so long I can't remember the damn doors anymore. Those were the good old days. Remember BBS Crash and Fantasy Land?

I didn't play too much BRE, but I definitely remember it. My favorite game was a PCBoard Door known as Knightquest, or something along those lines.

mmm.. BRE. Back on an old back and white laptop running dos with a 2400 modem. That game was great. My place was called The Village of the Damned. Used to load up on one of the land types.. forget which one but it gave you tons of money every turn.

My other fav was LORD. That was great.
