I have a creative labs tnt2 ultra, 1.33ghz athlon 133FSB, diamond mx300 soundcard, 256mb pc133 crucial ram, 45gb ibm deskstar 7200rpm, and an Abit KT7A-RAID mb. Ever since moving to the new system D3D games crash after 15-20mins of play, the screen turns black and nothing responds, not even ctrl+alt+del. Opengl games run fine and the fan is working on the video card so it shouldn't be a heat issue. All drivers are the newest available, directx 8.0a, 4-in-1 ver4.31, nvidia detenator ver12.41. After updating all of these nothing has changed, still the same problems. It's odd that it starts and runs the D3D games for a period of time before crashing. The video card passes the D3D diagnostic tool for directx. Any help would be appreciated. The system has been formatted after the motherboard and chip switch. Before all of the same pieces were in an o/c celeron 300@464 with an Abit BH6 board and all was well. Since the switch the problems have begun.
