Poll: Athlon 1100 O/c anyone got any results ?

i have a Asus A7V motherboard, 512meg ram and Thunderbird 1100mhz chip. if i turn up the from side bus from 100 to 102 its stable but only 1122mhz anything over that it just resets, i can get it to show 1250 but never boot!, I have NOT got the blue version of the chip just the standard,anyone point me in the right direction of just overclockign via the bios cpusoft III menu ?

Did you try unlocking the multiplier with the L1 bridges. (pencil or loctite method)
Go read Anand's info on the Duron / Tbirds and unlocking them with the pencil trick. The Loctite method is just using a Loctite branded car defroster grid repair conductive paint for something more permanent.
Your best bet is always an unlocked cpu. Green? Are you sure?

I know you can get up to 1GHz in either blue or green, but thought all 1.1 and up are Blue.

Hmmmm heard all 1.1's were blue core (copper). Unlock the L1 and L7 and crank it up...

By just fiddling with the BIOS (MSI K7T Pro 2-A) I got it to 1,212Ghz.

Mind you, I haven't unlocked the L1 bridge yet, I'll do that over the weekend. Keep you posted.

OK,

unlocked the L1s, get it to post at 1390, but doesn't boot.
So far, a stable 1212 is aboot it
