Um, no. Of course I'd rather the whole mess never happned but it did so now we really need to have some idea of how things are going, you know? If they fly another plane into a building I wanna know about it.

man, exactly what I was going to say. Now I don't have to type all that. Come to think of it I did get tired of reading about that revolutionary war thing in school, then there was that stupid civil war thing, and those two world war things, and a few more things like the cold war, vietnam, cuban missile crisis. I think I will just go play with my playstation now.

It's really important. This is the most important war we have been involved in since WWII.

Exactly what I think about the situation. It is probably the most important event that will happen in my lifetime, and yours.
 
Yes, it is important. I was really tired of hearing about it when they were interviewing Janitors who used to work in the WTC by the 5th day and still showing the airplanes hitting the towers as well. The media has done a good job and not saturating the people though. When we started bombing Afganistan, the media interrupted current broadcasting, made a statement on what was happening and then everything went back to normal. Very classy.

I don't mind the news bulletins, and as long as the media keeps them quick, clear, consice, and TRUE things should run a lot more smoothly.

example: NBC news reported that they found 5 firemen alive in a SUV in the collapsed tower. This was false, but they did a huge story on it. Blah!

Sometimes I wonder how much of us ATers are currently armed forces...do they have those T1 hookups on Navy ships yet?

as long as they don't interrupt my TV shows at night, I don't really mind. I am sick n' tired of hearing the name Osama bin Laden though and seeing his oogly face.
 
Listen here... I have paid much attention the current situation. I am sick of being mis-informed, everyone jumps on a topic and claims it fact. Hearing about this over and over only makes people worry about what could happen or what is happening. This is what Bin Ladin wants, the american people to be scared. I called it a "thing" because it has multiple layers. It is not just war, terrorism, death, freedom, and so on,

NO SH!T this is important. So what, playing this god damn event over and over on the news is going to make me more informed, and with me more informed MAYBE then I can SAVE THE UNITED STATES HUH? You all have done what to stop bin laden? EXACTLY so you all shut your holes, instead of chewing me out, do something. I just made a poll to express that it is getting old. Join the service if you want to help, or do something.

I think a lot of the news there is censored, so you wouldn't have to be bothered.
 
No i dont believe INFORMING the masses is a waste of time. I just dont like to see a situation like this turned upside down and inside out into propaganda for the patriotizm of our citizens. Look..... I dont know where you all live, but im willing to bet there are american flags up the @ss. Even the red cross is exploiting everyones anger and using it to make us feel the need to give blood (even though there are no more victims left in need of it) Everyone is so bewildered by this inccident that they cant even see in colors other than red white and blue..... but mostly RED

Some of us work, ya know, during the day, everyday. So while CNN might be "rehashing" the same stories all day I don't have a chance to see until I get home in the evening. So it's new to me. Ever think this is why they go on like 3 or 4 hour news cycles? So people don't have to be glued to their TV all day to get the news? It would be kinda stupid for them to be like "Well, we showed that clip at 9:35am EST and we're not gonna show it again. I don't care if that was 6:35am PST and the majority of people on the West Coast didn't see it."

The Red Cross and hospitals can ALWAYS use blood. What, You think there's not gonna be a need now? You think we only need blood after catastrophic events have taken place?

WTF do you think the Red Cross does with blood? Sell it??? How can a charitable organization "exploit" ANYTHING?

BTW, in case you hadn't noticed, there's a war on. Chances are our boys in green may very well be needing our blood very soon.

Oh, and Everyone should continue to give to the September 11 Fund. These folks are going to be splitting only 600 million among 6000 + families. That's less than $100,000 for each family.

You guys realize that wont go far at all, don't you? That's probably less than the average yearly salary of these folks who live in one of the most expensive areas of our country.
