Just got the tickets online, for first day. Going to get out of work early to see it. It's also being shown at the local IMAX theater (which is right next to the regular theater I'm going to), so I might go back Saturday night (only show time is 9:45 pm) and see it there (only $6.75 for IMAX!!), provided I like it (I should though).

<< It looks like a fantastic comin book conversion....just like Spawn! :p >>

Cool  I was starting to think I was the only person who thought that Spawn was a great comic adaptation. BTW, this flick will rock! If you go to the official website and checkout the interview with the fight choreographer then you'll see that he taylored the martial arts to reflect the characters very accurately. He said spider dude will pull the same moves and fight like a good guy and there will be things he just won't do out of good conscience you see in the comics and Green Goblin will do anything and everything to win no holds barred. LLLLLeeeeeetttssss get ready to rrrrrruuuuummmmbbblle ;)

<< I'm planning on going to see it on day one... but... i CANNOT STAND THE FACT THEY DECIDED ON ORGANIC WEBSHOOTERS! :( :( :(

Peter Parker was a scientist... his webshooter and webbing was his greatest invention. WHY OH WHY did they change it!!!
>>

Because Sam Raimi wanted to show that the powers made him more of an outcast. By having some kind of disfigurement it just pushes Peter Parker away from "normal" society. I like it.

I'm going to see it the first day only because everyone is working and/or going to school at 11am... I, luckily have the luxury of telling work, "I won't be in today..."

I don't understand why there's all this hype for this movie. That chick is an ugmo, and the movie just doesn't look that great to me. Yet, everyone is just _dying_ to see it.

I'll probably end up seeing it, but I'm not going to wait in anymore than a 5 person line, I'll tell you that.

The special FX look lame - and I'm basing it based off the commercials. I don't know about the movie itself but if the special fx are any indication, it'll tank

Damn, I hate when people quote me, then change their response... I don't know what you said...
Let me ellaborate: I did the same thing with LOTR, I went and saw it the first "day" it came out (it officially came out the night before, but lines were horendous). Since it will be out on Friday, at 11am, most people are in school, or at work, so I get the theatre that sits about, oh say, 100people with 20 people in it...

Well, my first quote was something like "Hmm, and we wonder why our economy is so shady." Implying that it's dumb to take off work to see a movie, but also meant to be sarcastic and just trying to get a rise out of someone. Basically just a stupid comment for the hell of it. Then I editted it because I thought that it really wasn't a bad idea, its not like your job can be that important and I'd probably do the same thing if I could. Anyway, I just changed it cuz I decided I didnt want to be an a$$hole. And the original reason that I even quoted you is because it was something I could respond to and get a bump on my own thread. I know, I know, I'm a loser. But look... Here's another free bump. Woohoo!

Well... I'll give a response, but by no means a rise... I don't get angered over posts... I'm only 18 and work as an intern. Also, our economy is no long in a recession...
