So this tuesday at 8 is the "new and improved" all star game, a cumulation of new voting and this time there's home-field advantage for the world series on the line. Very interesting...but I think we must all remember that its just an exhibition game. Boo to the home-field rule! Boo I say!

I thought of protesting it...but I just can't, I blame you Bug Selig.

I will be watching, but this whole "This time it matters" ad campaign sucks balls.

How can you have the All-Star game decide who is going to have home field advantage in the World Series? If MLB is going to change it, why not make it the team that has the best record during the regular season.. You know, like EVERY OTHER SPORT in this nation.

Yep, the ads suck. I love baseball but I hate baseball on Fox. The last thing I want to see is Kevin Kennedy's fat misshapen head telling me how "AWESOME!" everything is.

Uhm, Nomar isn't starting. A-Rod is. And Tejada has been having a horrible year.

I agree. Let's steal hockey from Canada as being the national sport. I can at least sit through an entire game of that.

My post was referring to the one above when the person stated he wont watch the game because Nomar isn't starting. True Tejada is having a horrible year, but since when was baseball's allstar game roster decided on how good players are doing that year. I've always hated how players who've been injured the entire year still get on the roster, like Griffey the past couple of years.

Good thing it has nothing to do with this poll/thread.

uhm, sure it does. If you think baseball sucks as a sport (which it does), why would you possibly watch the all star game (or any other game for that matter)?

I'm watching because it is the first time ever that both the Dodgers and Angels have each had 3 players in it (even if Kevin Brown can't play)

ahh, my bad!
oh well, I can't say that I disagree with the poster (either way) as pro basketball is becoming just as bad as baseball :(

At least college basketball still kicks ass, though next season won't start for a while.
