I'm underpaid. However, it still looks like riches to me when I get to save what I have every month. Soon I'll be overpaid, hopefully. :)

Underpaid.

Work at a small fast food place, sure its a dead-end teenager job, but for the crap I have to deal with everyday (People), I definatly don't get paid enough.

I get paid $/7.45/hr, and to tell the truth that is exactly what I deserve. I hate my job, but is SUPER flexible with my work schedule, so I take it, and not work hard.

I guess you could say I get what I deserve - it's not hourly paid but a straight salary; converted to hourly (based on "standard" hours) and from pounds to dollars it works out around $54-55/hour so can't really complain.

I dont know. I drive to work . . . get parking which cost about 250 a month I think which the company pays.
I have super flexable hours. Go in late leave early. Go in on weekends if I feel like earning a few extra bucks while i study for my classes. 401k. Insurance with dental plan. But I get 10.25. Most of the day I sit around and do whatever I feel like doing and then I go home.

So what do you guys think I should get paid to do. Its 4AM I cant sleep I think I'll drive to work clock in and do some little clerical work to clear the back log I been putting off for months.

I am the only IT guy at the place nothing breaks there beside some windows2000 server enviroment stuff but oh well. I need to find someone to come in and fix it. I dont think they pay me enough to learn it and fix it on my own. I think I'll take up on thier offer to send me to traning next time. I wouldnt mind fixing thier 2000 if I auctally know how.

So whats your take? 10.25 + benifits to much for me or to little?
I have tried to quite 3 time in the past 2 years.

Edit Sorry just looked over my paycheck I get 10.79 an hour. Where the heck did they come up with that amount????

oh well. Ill take the 2 quater plus the 4 penny. The more the merrier I guess.

UPDATE: Based on what I read around here OMG, I am overpaid big time for doing absouletly nothing. Each day I put in about real amount of work of r 3 or less hours. I can work complete 8 hours if I want but I get sick of sitting around so I leave as soon as I feel like I cant stand it anymore. Didnt realize I had it good, guess I should work a little harder after comming on here and reading other examples.

I am a nurse; therefore underpaid. :(

I also live in Alabama where nurses get paid the absolute least...yes, I know all about the cost of living but we got sick, if not sicker, people too!

Underpaid for my profession. Local economy dictates. If you only earn a decent income with nothing left to put aside for retirement you are underpaid. Social Security will not last forever I'm afraid.

Realistically... I have no degree, no high school diploma, and am making decent money because I happen to have a knack for computers.

Not that I'm complaining... ;)

My daily work requires about 9 hours of actual brain activity these days. It used to be a lot less, but these days... I am DEFINITELY not getting what I deserve. I guess that's a disadvantage of getting hired out of college... rather than as an "experienced professional" ... :|

I work 4 10's in a week and make $20.51 an hour driving an 18 wheeler. I work an extra day @ $30.76 and still have 2 day weekends. Been there 12 years now and love the freedom I have in this job. It's a Union job as well with benefits that I don't have to pay out of my check at all. i.e: Health Ins ect.

Underpaid for my position. Its a LAN/WAN Specialist. I make $15/hr, whereas the local average is at $21/hour. However, I end up better off after benefits, employee stock options, and bonuses. Not to mention discounted loan rates.
