Poll: Are you a Stratfordian or Oxfordian?

I just got the latest dilbert newsletter and a portion of it mentioned shakespeare and it got me to thinking about the great debate if the author of the works penned by william shakespeare was really William shakespeare, the uneducated man born in stratford upon avon. Personally I'm more inclined to believe that the true author was Edward de Vere, Seventeenth Earl of Oxford. His education level, experience in life reflected in the literature (would shakespeare really know about falconry?), not to mention the notes in his Bible make me truly believe that he was the man that penned the literature.

I'd post links, but they might be biased so if you're interested in reading more just go to a search engine and try searching for things like "shakespeare controversy", "stratfordian oxfordian shakaespeare" etc. Its a pretty neat topic I think, perhaps even more interesting than many of the literary works in question

We may never know, but until we do, I'll be a stratfordian. Just because I think Stratford Upon Avon is a cooler town than Oxford, for lack of a better reason.

sometimes i doubt that all the works to attributed to Shakespeare are by just one person, as some are so stylistically different. However, overall, IMO Shakespeare is not nearly as good as the credit that is given to him. The near Shakespeare-worship in theater is hilarious.

Oxfordian, or at least, a non-Stratfordian.

BTW, Oxford is a much nicer place than Stratford Upon Avon. There are some AWESOME pubs in Oxford. The Horse &amp; Jockey across from St. Anne's College even had a Fourth of July party for all the Americans there. It was hilarious to see a traditional English pub decorated with red, white, and blue streamers and American flags!
