i'm not, but my older son is one, & my younger son is 7 months away from being one (both from a troop where you have to
EARN it).

for the project they rejected my suggestion of renting a bulldozer & pushing homeless camps into the river in the middle of the night (with a 1 minute bullhorn warning).

Almost there! My project is done and written up (working on some pictures and report for the internet). Now I just need a few more merit badges...

Life Scout
Troop 58 - Victorville, CA

I'm not a mormon. I'm atheist and I think that the policy of not allowing atheists in Boy Scouts is very GAY!

<< However, now I don't know what I think of the Boy Scouts-- This whole anti-gay thing has me pretty pissed off. In fact, i think I might make a poll about this issue... watch for it soon. >>

I don't know about you, but I don't want to worry about being raped in my sleep on a campout! :Q

Trivia:

Did you know that the Eagle Scout insignia is the only civilian insignia permitted to be worn on a U.S. military uniform?

Many generals and Chiefs of Staff have sported the Eagle Scout insignia on their dress uniforms.

I never had the opportunity to be in the Boy Scouts, but being an Eagle is something to be proud of as long as you didn't get it from a troop that gave them away.

BTW, nobody becomes an Eagle in the SGVC without earning it. Those of you who have suffered through their Eagle Court can verify this. I've sat on a few and the prospective Eagle is literally run through the ringer.

Yes, I got my Eagle in June of 1977- Troop 177 Bowling Green MO
The main thing I remember about the COH was one of the Asst Scoutmasters asked me the following: "If you were to get in a gals pant's, and got her pregnant, what would you do?" This struck me because-
A I was going with his daughter at the time
B We hadn't got quite that far yet (was thinking about it and "messing around", however)

Yes, it has on occasion helped me in the civilian world- when I enlisted, I enlisted as a E3 due to being a Eagle Scout

<< Eagle Bump! >>
