I'm going to be getting quite a culture shock here very soon.

I'll be moving from a state of 3 million people to a CITY of million people. :Q

How about ALL of the above?
(except the girl) :p

;)

I live in the suburbs but it's VERY rural (on a dirt road) and work in the (nearby) cities 20-30 minutes away.

Just remember, there no fast broadband access in the country. Even if there is, it has unbearable lag, and costs $200-300 just to setup.

Same here. I can hold my own with any group. Such is the advantage of having a completely neutral accent.

where I live, the cows outnumber the humans 3 to 1. If I see less than 20 deer a day, I'm surprised. I dodge skunks on my daily runs, and seeing a rabbit cross the road is about as exciting as waking up. Seeing a car that isn't a 1972 Ford F150 or a Jeep Willies, now that's surprising!

not necessarily true. :p I'm 20 miles away from the nearest city, but somehow I have cable access, and average about 350KB/sec download, 30KB/sec upload, and ping < 50ms to most NE servers. It helps that there's only a dozen of us on this node :) free setup, $40 a month

Many rural areas are getting wireless set ups now. 500k up & down, ping times rivaling DSL.

Cool stuff.

I was born and raised in a 3,000ppl town, so I guess I'm a country boy. Right now for university I'm in a region that has around 100,000ppl but I don't really go downtown a lot. This is pretty much as much as I can handle. I would like to try a bigger city (I'm thinking maybe about Québec City) but I'm afraid that everything would go too fast for me.

There's nothing like going in town (or in the next town, around 7,000ppl I'd guess) and drive with the windows down during the summer, look left and right for the hot girls and waving people you know in every few cars without worrying about changing lanes and missing exits and all that sh!t.
