You know, the Democrats have stuck by their core constituency. Maybe that's why they seem unoriginal. It is true that they need some new faces like Dean to liven things up a little.

However, you're right, the Republicans seem to be on the cutting edge, wherever that edge might be, you can be sure that they are putting their finger up to the wind to see which way is blowing, and then quickly switch to that. That's why the Republicans are so original, they're always flip flopping everywhere like dead fish.

Both parties are unoriginal - lies and back-room deals have been a part of politics since caveman times. The only thing even remotely original by the current wave of pols was the use of blowhards like Rush to convince thousands of saps that lies = truth.
