Hi:
I recently bought a asus A7v board from a friend and have two problems with it
1: It wants to install "mass storage device controller" and I have no drivers and don't know where to get get them I have looked all over asus site to no avail.
2:If I use ATA100 slots my computer runs in dos compatability mode, I have two Hd's both maxtor 20 & 30 gig that support ultra mode 5 for ATA100, Also as far as far as I can tell I can only enable \disable ATA100 bios and cannot edit it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also I am using ATA 66 cable but read somewherethat it supports ATA100 is this true.
Thanks

Rick

The mass storage controller is the onboard Promise ATA 100 chip. You will find the driver on asus site for the promise controller. If you are running 2000 make sure you get the right one.
