Eh people who get offended by racist jokes need to get the fuck out of the kitchen.

Noone gets offended by white jokes.

It's all relative. Chris Rock is funny on TV but, he aint funny in my kitchen.

I think he'd be funnier in your kitchen.

I guarantee you'd both only bounce once before passing through the door. My kitchen isn't a democracy. I'm a professional who doesn't tolerate anything that belittles any of my co-workers.

So serious.

:) Just trying to make my point about it being relative. Work is work but, no one knows how to party heartier than a Chef off the clock.

So what do you do when your co-workers belittle each other?

edit.... I was thinking you meant you own kitchen initially. I am assuming you are a chef from your last comment. This makes more sense now.

Clamp down hard. There's a reason why the Chef is the top of the food chain. All performance/work issues go through the Chef. If it becomes a problem and, my counseling doesn't work, their hours start rapidly declining.

Well for example, last night we went to cold stone... and I ordered something that had chocolate ice cream, brownies, chocolate chips, and fudge. I told my buddy I wanted to get something all dark to celebrate Obama's victory ;) Then he said "then you should have gotten the watermelon ice cream" :D

Racist? Absolutely, but we were both just playing off of well bashed stereotypes for our own laughs.

Geejus...youse folks, once again, saying RACIST like it's bad or sumthin...

There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with ethnic jokes..just be sure to carefully pick your audience.

One morning, I stopped for gas on the way to work. My neighbor who worked with me and I stood by the pump telling Polack jokes. (this was almost 30 years ago when they were still considered funny)

A car pulled up at the pump next to us, the guy got out, listened for a minute or two and said,"Hey fellows, I happen to be Polish, and I take offense at those jokes. I really wish you'd stop."

He went into the 7-11, and we went back to telling Polack jokes.

He came back out a couple of minutes later, heard us still telling the jokes and got PISSED! "I asked you politely not to tell those kinds of jokes," he said, "I guess the only thing left to do is kick your ass!"

Hell, I had almost a half-hour before I was supposed to be at work, so I said, "Sure pal...let's go behind the store so no one can interfere."

We walked around behind the 7-11 and the prick pulled a razor on me.

The ONLY reason I'm here today to tell this story is that there was NO PLACE for him to plug it in... <rimshot>

Thanks folks, I'll be here all week...(unless the Mods decide otherwise for telling the joke)

But seriously folks...take my wife, PLEASE!

Racist jokes are indeed racist, regardless of the intent or how non-racist you THINK you are....
