I think that used to be true, however latley I have noticed that when I run adaware first, spybot finds nothing. So adaware must be getting better.

Spybot...it gets more updated more often. Also, according to some reports I've read Spybot removes adware/spyware by detangling it from your system, adaware apparently just uses the brute force method and deletes the offending file which can lead to problems such as a corrupt TCP stack...don't know how true that is though.

Spybot is more thorough and complete. Adaware is a nice compliment to Spybot though.

I use both daily, am probably anal in my dislike of spyware and popups.
