I like No Doubt & Gwen Stefani. Some old tunes from Heart are pretty good, esp. Magic Man. Some of Madonna's old tunes get me tappin' my feet, and I even like "Crazy For You" which is the ultimate mancard shredder. Some old Sneaker Pimps tunes are great too. So yes.

Sure. Many of Bach's cantatas and most of his other vocal works have parts for altos and sopranos--they are generally filled by female singers (although a countertenor is always a nice alto).

I don't listen to any modern music with female leads though. All evidence points to females sucking at music outside of classical. They are usually whiny, and if not whiny then trite. Am I being sexist? Maybe. But it's true.

i've heard of lots of males, and even some females, that won't listen to pretty much ANY female singer... because they say their voice is annoying.

i do not understand this at all

I like Sara Mclauglan.... or whatever her name is. I can't spell it, but her voice is like an angel. Very soothing and relaxing.
