I don't think it's right, but it's also not right for a kid to have to be raised in an environment that isn't prepared mentally or emotionaly to have it present. Overall i'd say no to the question, but if in the event of things like rape, then yeah, she didn't choose it, it was forced on her, though if she and her boyfriend were just messing around......she should keep the kid and raise it herself, to may kids are up for adoption these days....

i'm for people the right to choose. but if i was in the postion, i might want her to have it just cause it would be so sad to have to have one. but i would at least want us to have that choice.

I'll repeat the Bush line: Make them more rare.

I think it's an awful thing and it should be discouraged except in cases of rape, etc., but making laws against it wouldn't accomplish anything.

Absolutely not. The child can be given up for adoption if the pregnancy is unplanned and the child not wanted. Reguardless of whether the embryo is considered a human being or not at certain stages of the pregnancy is irrelevant simply because he/she will develop into a human being and will have a life to live.

It's the persons choice... not anyone else's.

If a person needs/wants an abortion then why not let the person have it?

Well if they were forced to and was going to have a baby then yeah but if its any other reason no because people need to learn their lesson and live where their mistake for the rest of their life hehe.
Sorry but if you knew it and still did not care then its just the way it goes. You life is over and thats just the way it will be. But remember if you are forced to then sure you should beable to choose but only if you are forced.

What if the child would die short before or shortly after the birth because of some defect?

There are many genetical and other diseases out there which can make the life of a child very, very short. In some cases, the child will be in constant pain.

Anyone who forces a child to live a short life, filled with pain, is a heartless, cruel bastard.

Abortion is a tool. You can't be for or against it. It totally depends on the situation whether it's to be used. In some cases it's both morally and ethically justified.
