Yes it will support Durons and T-Birds
as well as the Palimino (Athlon 4)

And I thought the KG7-RAID was already
out. They have the information on their
website.

those are very different boards, the kt7a is based on the via chipset and uses sdr(pc133) the kg7 is based on the amd 761 chipset and uses ddr.

cant really compare the two :) if your looking for ddr then the kg7 looks like it might be a good board(i havent seen to many reviews yet, but most of the boards with that chipset are good)

epox 8k7a+
gigabyte 7dxr
those are both based on the same chipset as the kg7 and they both also have raid.

I agree with boonesmi: you should compare AMD 760 baords : KG7, 8K7a and 7DXR, they are all identical and the differences in performance (if any) are irrelevant. it's matter of price, taste, and availibility. Please note that ABIT has no experience whatsover with DDR technolgoy.
It was Gigabyte who pioneerd this, with the 7DX in November 2000, they have now 3 different DDR boards, and ABIT has nothing so far. It's a point I think.

Identical chainbolt, not quite. For one thing you are probably right about the end results being identical (it's the same chipset), but not the means...and you won't know the end result for sure until the Abits become available in a couple of more weeks, will you? And, I'd wager you a dollar to a donut that if you surveyed users of each of these boards, about the other boards, that the term "identical" would occur with zero statistical significance.LOL!

ok, if you take it so precise: all of these 3 boards have some clear differences. But let's say from the more general point of view: should I go for DDR yes or not, and then for which chipset Ali, KT266 or AMD 760, these 3 are out of one box.

What I said implied more the message, don't believe the usual review bla bla bla, which is exaggurating minimal differences to have something to report.

one more thing bevo: nothing against the KG7, probably a great board, but we are waiting quite a long time now, don't we. Reminds me on the elusive A7V266 :D, if we wait maybe 3 months longer, we can take maybe the cute SiS735 board, which Giga displayed at the beginning of June at COMPUTEX?

There may be some changes in DDR in the near future. Oveclockers.com had a good blurb on this a week or two ago. Unless you need a new board now, I would wait and see what happens.

<< maybe the cute SiS735 board >>

I read somewhere that Soyo was about ready to come out with a sis735...We will see. Also, if Abit does not get up off their collective rear ends and get a good MB to market soon, it's going to be dual Pally time...Today I read that Abit will be in full production of the kg7 by the second week in July, but when does this mean it gets to the states...We're talking early August for dancing dualies...As Spock would say, "Interesting."
