IMHO 10 hrs min. for me. Sometimes I don't get that much but I like to I probably average out to about 9hrs a night.

I usually get 5 or 6 hours a night and it's plenty. As a matter of fact, I feel more sluggish in the morning after I have slept 8+ hours.

5 hours usually. and to compensate for lost hours, I sleep in classes. in fact, my latin teach created a new classroom rule in my honor: no sleeping in class or get a detention. unfortunately, I was the first (and only so far) to be an example of that rule.

I'd prefer 7-8 hours, but no more.

During the week I get about 5 - 5 1/2 (damn I hate getting up at 5:30 for school.:disgust:)

Stop flaming the guy. He messed up, big deal.

I get about 6 per day, and it's not enough. I'd say 8.5-9 would be ideal, but whenever I don't get that much (read: between September and June, on weekdays), naps on the subway and sleeping late on the weekends compensate.

the latest I've ever woken up in the last 3-4 years is 10am.
Yes, I haven't slept more than 12 straight hours in the last 3-4 years :Q
I'm proud...well...not really :p ;)

It's usually about 6 to 6.5 a night for me, though I struggle to get at least an hour or more at night, not in the morning.

On weekends, I usually get about 8. I feel the day has been wasted if I sleep past 10 for some reason.

About 3.5 hours per school night. About 10-12 hours per non-school night.

I try to average 6 during the week, 8 on the weekends if I'm lucky. I'd like to get more, but I'm just a night owl. Of course in college it was much much less hehehe, but I'm older and much more mature now :) well sorta.

I swear on nights I get only 4-6 hours of sleep I feel significantly more refreshed and ready for the day in the morning then the nights I get 7+. I'm certainly not the only one who feels this way, does anyone know anything scientific regarding this?
