Palin would be a perfectly adequate President. Democrats will probably underestimate her like they did Bush. What's so bad about a Pres that could hunt Bin Laden down from a chopper.

/facepalm

Look, even I admit that I had been a little harsh criticizing Palin during the election. This coming from a former McCain supporter (2000). She did a decent job in Alaska, but she shouldn't be let anywhere near the White House. Many moderates like myself share this view, and it is part of what sunk McCain this time around.

The Republican leadership (or lack thereof) just doesn't seem to 'get it'. They damn near had free reign of the executive and congress without too much flak coming from SCOTUS for many years. They enacted policies that really boned a lot of Americans, all in their blind trust in the free market and anything-goes philosophy when it comes to dealing with terrorism. They didn't even do anything to mitigate the damage that they so conveniently blame Clinton for doing during his tenure as POTUS. They have not recognized their own failings, much less propose new solutions for them. Until we see something new from the party, their presidential aspirations are sunk before they even begin.

Palin 2012? I don't think so.

What is that, some 20(ish)% of all Voters? There would be a Landslide Victory!

That's not their main problem, as bad as it is. Their main problem is that they have still not accepted any responsibility for the complete failure to properly govern when they had power, and they have not indicated what if anything they plan to change, and why the deserve a second chance. So basically right now they are trying to sell the voters same defective goods as before, except voters now know those goods are defective, so it's going to be a tough sell.

And as brought up in the Obama detainee thread the circle jerk will continue with an amazing swiftness.

Sara Palin - hurfdurf! You're scared of her because she represents most of America, people with values, people that can fix this country from the direction we're headed.

Ohh, you mean she represents hypocrites, ignorant fools, corrupt idiots, and intellectually/morally bankrupt people. Wow, what a great direction for the country.

The poll shows more than Republican support. It also shows that independents and Dems reject her. It doesn't matter how many Reps vote for her, the rest of the country won't

I like how you even use the Rush Limbaugh terminology in your posts. Indoctrinated much?

I work for a living. Don't listen to Rush. But keep it up, this thread is already proving an important point.

hurf-durf indeed.

Yeah, but you prove you're a partisan kneejerk in every thread you post in.

If holding on to and promoting liberty, freedom, personal responsibility makes me a partisan kneejerk then so be it.

You mean promoting bigotry, racism, narrow-minded viewpoints, "TERROR TERROR TERROR" (Let me take away your rights to protect you from nothing), and "It's everybody else's fault I left the governorship" to the teen-pregnancy hypocrisy.

Okay, then don't you feel Palin looks weak in walking away from her governorship and hypocritical in her stance on Hillary Clinton complaining about being treated too harshly?

Andrew Sullivan has been keeping a running diary about all the lies sarah palin has told, it's quite a doozy:

http://andrewsullivan.theatlan...h-palin-a-roundup.html

more recently, she lied about the 'millions of dollars' in ethics complaints (nowhere even near that, not even 1 million... in fact just a small fraction of that, $296,000 to be exact) and most of the legal expenses are related to the troopergate inquiry that SHE initiated herself.

I can see why spidey loves palin, she's a lying sack of shit divorced from reality. I wonder how she feels about TWC :D

Detaining people indefinitely is not promoting liberty & freedom.

Something that both Bush and Obama believe in.

Palin is not qualified to be president.

With that said, you think independents like me will vote for a path of destruction (namely a 2nd term for Obama)? Think again. Americans are seeing through your party's bullsh!t policies and driving us further into the US national debt blackhole.

If anything I would like to vote for a 3rd party next time around.

Obama = Carter.

Since you're so opinionated on political topics, why don't you come spew your vitriol in the Obama detention thread? Oh, I get it, you only post when someone on the right does something you disagree with. When one of your lefty heroes does something that you can't defend, you're quiet as a mouse.

C'mon Phokus, tell us about how you really feel about your Messiah's flip flop on holding people without probable cause . When Bush does it it's bad, when Obamessiah does it it's okay! Partisan hack.

If I were anywhere near the prolific poster that Phokus is, then you might have a valid point. Seeing as I don't go out of my way to bash the left on a daily basis, then your attempted defense of the indefensible means nothing. As for Sanford, I agree with alphatarget1: he's a douche.
