I generally keep my apartment very clean. I mop one a week and spot clean it with a swiffer mop thing if need be. If its something that can be rinsed off and then eaten sure but if its say cottage cheese then no.

Anything that's been on the floor for less than a minute is okay to eat. Anything after 5 minutes you really shouldn't eat it. Giving your immune system something to practice on is good 😀

Yep, its more like 30 seconds according to a study last year. Its more than 30 if its dry food, slightly less than 30 if its wet, and significantly less than 30 seconds if a kimono dragon has licked it.

After some of the places I have been, food doesn't bother me, whether it has been on the floor or not... I don't even ask what I am eating anymore, it is better not to know...

Obviously non of you ever worked in a restaurant or better yet a fast food joint, otherwise all of you would've realize that unless people literally went to the toilet on your food, you can and probably will eat it.
Trust me, I used to work for a major burgers seller (guess for yourself, I ain't taking any law suits today..), as well as for a pretty classy restaurant which was a bit better, though believe me, non of you would've even sit in the same table with some of the food that's being served in those places had you know what its been through. Yet we all somehow eat it, and come back for more. In this case the lack of knowledge is a huge benefit, took me a couple of years to manage to "forget" so now I can eat outside and not think about it.

It all depends on what floor, what food, and who's looking. The 3rd is a major factor even if 1 & 2 get green lights.

In low traffic area's it's 10 second rule. High traffic and at home, because I don't like furry food, I throw it out.

TGIF is not a classy restaurant.

Anyway they had a hard copy type show on this. Most of the time food from the floor would not make anyone 'sick', however; that is not really the reason most don't eat off the floor.

If someone held a hamburger in their armpit...one could probably eat it without needing medical attention, but would you want too?

All in all if someone wants to eat off the floor they could do it safely most of the time.
